I wanted to pay tribute to the "Golden Rectangle" and incorporate it into a piece called "Gina 1.618". Without getting into all the mathematics of "The Golden Ratio" (You can read about the math somewhere else), A "Golden Rectangle" is a shape that has one dimension that is a multiple of 1.618034(and so on and so on) of the other. The ratio has a special place in the mathematics world but also is said to be found in nature, the art world and some even say in finance. You can see approximations in designs of cell phone screens, widescreen TVs, and wall outlet plates. This mixed media project uses the rectangle and the "Golden Spiral" for the layout of this portrait of my Granddaughter, Gina. "Gina 1.618"
